Story

*Firewatch* is set in 1989 and follows "Henry," a man escaping his complicated personal life by becoming a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness. His job is to watch for signs of fires from his remote lookout tower. As Henry settles into his new life, he begins communicating via radio with his supervisor, Delilah. Soon, mysterious occurrences begin happening in the forest, and Henry is drawn into uncovering secrets that suggest there’s more to this wilderness than meets the eye.

Gameplay

*Firewatch* focuses on exploration and environmental interaction from a first-person perspective. Players navigate the forest, interact with objects such as tools, notes, and caches, and engage in conversations with Delilah. The narrative develops through these conversations, with players choosing how to respond, which influences the direction of the dialogue. The game emphasizes a deep story and atmospheric immersion, with light puzzles that require careful observation.
